Two things:
1. I decided I kind of like Marc Anthony, but only when he’s singing in Spanish. 2. I remembered that the exact moment at which the Matrix trilogy becomes a supes-dupes-suck-fest is the cave-rave scene. But I’ll still watch the whole thing on AMC so long as the sound is off and I’m listening instead to Spanish-singing Marc Anthony and company. And Suavamente FINALLY came on....

Husbands are the worst!
hershapeinthedoorway: No, they’re the best. But they’re the worst for diets! Or rather, since i’m not on a “diet” per se, they’re the worst for eating healthy! What was I GOING to make for dinner? Roast chicken, some pasta with olive oil, and roast brussel sprouts. What did sweet little sickie-head want? A Wendy’s hamburger. Who am I to refuse the request of a man who has been sick for days?...

Things I most* hate about being sick
hershapeinthedoorway: 1. Feeling like crap. 2. Inexplicable bouts of hysterical crying every few hours. *I hadn’t originally titled this with “most” and then Tom said, “Just TWO things?” and I added this little modifier. K back to my chicken noodle soup and VM. Thinks I most hate about Sara being sick: 1.  She feels like crap. 2.  She cries a lot. And sometimes, lots of times, it appears...

It’s hard to be Google. But it seems it can be much harder to be Chinese. Check out this interesting blog regarding Google’s so-called “Do no evil” tactics. Here’s another blog (“The Push and Pull of China” from 1/12/10) worth checking out for some balance. I don’t mean to misuse religious scriptures or proselytize, but I can’t help...

lichtenblog: “To make a historical analogy with the last major increase in the written word, you could earn a living in 1500 simply by knowing how to read and write. The spread of those abilities in the subsequent century had the curious property of making literacy both more essential and less professional; literacy became critical at the same time as the scribes lost their jobs. The same thing...

hershapeinthedoorway: Friday workout, hang out, monopoly with best couple friends ( I won by a landslide) Saturday lunch date with a group of friends, puttering, run, dinner with fam, drinks with friends So far, so good. I had the first monopoly of the game and it was Boardwalk and Park Place. I also was the first to eliminate another player which led to a monopoly with the yellow...

scariest moment of my day
hershapeinthedoorway: lily LEAPED off the couch!!! I was terrified she had hurt her little baby paws but she was fine and is now happily cuddling in my lap :) I’m not convinced Sara didn’t throw her. The puppy does prefer me and I’m sure Sara’s not thrilled about that.

Working on a new look
for my blog that is. I’m more a programmer than a designer so my “less is more” approach is less out of style and more out of fear of screwing up. Take a look, if you don’t mind: Sara Beigle’s husband’s new blog design.

hershapeinthedoorway: siiiiiiiiiick Sara’s mom: “Is it mono?” Three years ago, at the start of our dating, Sara had mono which she shared lovingly with me. Since then, whenever Sara has shown symptoms stronger than those of your average cold, it seems that either she or her mother becomes instantly suspicious she is experiencing a relapse of the kissing disease. And,...
